How long do chicken pox scars take to go away? Is there any way to get rid of them faster?

My daughter has had them and is feeling horrible because of the all the marks they have left...|||Scars will likely never go away. I still have a lot of them from when I had the chicken pox.....25 years ago. You might try Malderma (I think that%26#039;s the name of it.....can%26#039;t remember right now) or some other scar therapy for them.

If you%26#039;re talking scabs from the sores, it%26#039;ll probably take a couple of weeks for those to go away. Have her wear long pants and long sleeved shirts to cover most of them if your daughter is that uncomfortable.|||they will never go away,,much like shelly i also have them on my forehead i have 2,,and well i got the chicken pox wen i was 3,,im 17 now and they are still there,,,sorry for your daughter|||The redness takes a long time to go down. The only ones that will stay will be ones that were scratched off...they%26#039;ll eventually turn white and be mostly unnoticeable.

You can keep at her skin with an oatmeal lotion like Aveeno, or something with Vitamin E in it.|||If she scratched them and now they are pits in her skin, then they may never completely go. I would imagine though, that its just the mark left when the scab falls off that you mean, rather than %26quot;scar%26quot;? If so, it may take a few weeks to not be noticeable. If the skin is not broken, you could use Aloe Vera on them. Its harmless, but an absolute gem with healing and scars. We had a huge plant of it in our garden in NZ and it was fine to just break off a leaf-tip and use the clear goo inside it for scratches, scars, rashes, all sorts really, just to aid the healing process.|||There are different types of cream that may reduce the appearance of the scars, Mederma, is a good brand. If you go to this website http://www.mederma.com/ , you can get a coupon. No matter what all scars will not completely fade away. I am 21 years old and still have a chicken pox scar on my face from when I was four.|||i have one on my forehead. its been there since i was 5.im 10-20 years of age. i%26#039;ve heard of some kind of medicine(you%26#039;ll have to ask your child%26#039;s ddoctor. ) i like mine. w/out it i would look wierd.but if its a lot and they look wierd, then ask her doc right away if shes tired of them.
