How can i get rid of my chicken pox scars? or at least make them less noticable ?

I got a case of the chicken pox a lot of years back , and i was only little so i didnt know better not to scratch , and it left me with crater like scars all over my face . They majorly bring down my appearance and confidence . Is there any way I can reduce the look of them , or even get rid of them ? preferable without surgery or nothing extremely expensive.|||I have a similar case with the crater-like scars. You can never completely get rid of scars but can reduce the visibility to the point you can barely notice them.

Surgery is just something you want to avoid obviously, and lots of products can be very expensive. Neosporin and Mederma work well, but best on newer scars. Since yours are from a few years back, you should stick to using creams rich in vitamins, and keep up with it.

Vitamins C, E, A, K, and B complex and all good for your overall skincare. Shea butter, especially from West Africa, are one of the best solutions to diminish the appearance of scars, old and new. You can get Shea Butter creams at any store, but the best would be the non-refined one, usually sells for $12 for 4oz. Bio-Oil is another option and works great, plus it%26#039;s affordable, about $12 at Walgreen%26#039;s.

Whichever choice you make, be sure to stick to it and make it a habit. Put cream on affected areas daily, and you will notice change sooner than you would if you do it once every few days.

When showering or bathing, gently exfoliate skin with a loofah, but since it%26#039;s on your face, you might want to use something more gentle like an exfoliating glove. After you shower, your skin will absorb the cream better and retain it longer.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions =]|||Use oat meal! cook oatmeal as if u are cooking it to eat. let it cool down all the way and use a hand full to scrub the scars areas with oatmeal like as if you are washing your face. repeat the process over and over till the scars lighten. stay away from sun, sun causes scars to darken.. Report Abuse
|||Try putting cocoa butter on your scars or use mederma or other products to get rid of scars. I heard that you can also use olive oil. You can use a concealer to cover your scars up until they fade away. Or ask your dermatologist.|||nothing will help those scars without surgery. not even opaque makeup. sorry! laser surgery may help and is less expensive then plastic surgery
